Snowy nativity

I haven't read anywhere that there was snow on the ground at the time of birth of Jesus but they do have snow in the Holy Land so it is just possible that my card my be truly reflecting the scene at the time.

This months swap parcel has a Christmas theme and I opened Pat's today whilst I was having my crafting day with Terri.  Gosh it is hard to get your head round Christmas cards when you have the balcony door open, the sun is shining and the birds singing.  My inspiration seemed to have gone; it must have taken a different train to mine and landed up somewhere in the opposite direction.

I made two cards and had kitted up two more cards before it was time to come home.  Since being home I have finished off those two other cards.  I must now get down to blogging them.

I loved this paper as soon as I saw it and new I wanted a silvery theme with it.  The glitter strip was mine, the greeting came from a previous swap and the paper, image and backing mirri card was in my swap parcel.  I love glitter strip; no more tucking ribbon round and underneath backing card.  I was glad my friend introduced me to it.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

CHNC:  #127 Use your favourite embellishment
CHNC Extra for June

  1. I'm glad you liked the glitter strip - I love using it & not just for Christmas cards :o)

I really like this card, Liz - seems Terri was right when she said Christmas doesn't just have to be my preferred colours of red, gold & green :o)
