May Swap parcel - 3

Plain and simple, this one.  The image, card frame and card strip all cme from the parcel.  I just added some dotty card candy in the right colour!!

That completes my makes from Pat's swap parcel for May.

May Swap parcel - 2

Truly patterned paper this!!!  Just right for the May challenge mentioned in the previous post.  First I thought of cutting a circle out of it and layering it up but then I thought about a set of dies and stamps that I have rarely used.  Time for an airing!!!

Scraps of plain card were stamped and diecut and then I rummaged in the ribbon stash and came up with this card.

May swap parcel

May is drawing to a close and I thought I had better get photos blogged of the cards I made from the May swap which was all about large or difficult patterns.  This is one of the ones I made from Pat's parcel.

Luckily Pat included some lovely toning plain paper so I just used a scallop die to layer an image with the plain paper.  The image came from a previous swap parcel with Pat.

Christmas in May

My personal challenge was to make and blog at least one Christmas card a month prefrably using goodies from our Christmas swap or Advent parcels.

The moment I saw this image in my swap parcel I just knew it was my sort of Christmas card.  I rummaged around my snippets box and found the green backing paper and a bit of black to layer the image onto.  A greeting that I also received in the swap completed nthe card.  One of my favourite makes.  The real meaning of Christmas and simple to make!!

With Love

I rummaged in the snippets box and found some white offcuts and also some pink.  I used some white ribbon to attach to the tag and mounted it onto the pink oval which I then mounted on the white diecut.  I then mounted the whole on some more of the pink and added a greeting.  I used my Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles to cut out the white diecut shapes.  I fell in love with this set all over again.  They are simply elegant.

Choo choo

Those that know me will know that the man in my life is a steam train enthusiast.  My mother needed  card to give him and I mad a few for her to choose from but knew really I only had to make this one and she would be happy with it.

I rummaged around in the stash and found the image and then delved into the snippets box for the backing card pieces which I embossed in the Cuttlebug.
