Snowflake time

This is my last card from my swap parcel from Terri.  This is the second time I have used the technique of cutting off part of the topper and lining up to the side of the card.  Terri had also included the foil snowflake that matched the out colour of the topper perfectly.  Guess what?  I had just the right colour peel off greeting to go with it.  A really simple card.

This is my last entry for CHNC Extra - April

This card is also one that I am using for my challenge which was to make and blog a Christmas card each month.

Holly Jolly

On to the second swap parcel for April.  Terri had put some lovely bits in but inspiration failed me; too much on my mind.

We were due to meet up together today and yesterday I planned two cards with a third just a ggerm of an idea.  Who knows if it will get made.

I loved the greeting that Terri included so I rummaged in the swap parcel to think what to put with it.  I decided a link to the jolly Father Christmas was a good one and so cut a strip of that paper and rounded the edges.  I wanted to match the colour of some of the text on the greeting but there was nothing in the parcel to do that so I had a rummage in the snippets box and found this dull red which teamed up with the greeting nicely.

Anniversary

I recently received some lovely embossed and diecut sheets of A6 card from a swap I did from someone in America.  I have used one here and toned it with some raspberry offcuts from the snippets box and made this anniversary card for my daughter and son in law.

Winter Village

This was the last card from my swap parcel with Pat.  I used paper and the image from her parcel.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and some Stickles.  I found a snippet of blue card from my snippets box and cut it using a Nestie die and then stamped it with a greeting.  I then ran it through my Cuttlebug using a Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Pair of Penguins

Pat included two stamped images of penguins in her swap parcel and I couldn't resist making these two cards for my two granddaughters that are sisters.  Woohoo that gives me a head start on family Christmas ccards.

I coloured the images with Promarkers and used some of the included background papers for part of the card.  I used some of my snippets of white card to make the snow.  I used Stickles on the breasts of the penguins and also on the snow.

Tagged for Christmas

Here is my second card I made from Pat's swap parcel.  I found a greeting and a little ribbon bow to complete the card.  I punched the background papers with a Martha Stewart punch.

Latest knitting projects

Another one of the loves of my life is knitting and crochet.  I always have something on my needles, rarely for me or the family and more usually for Kids Co.

These are my latest makes that will go in the bulging charity bag

Barely Christmas

We are a long way off yet but this month the theme of the swap parcels was Christmas.  It will be good to get a head start on the cards.  I opened my parcel from Pat and to my surprise have made 5 from it and have another one to make.  This is great because two of them I have already earmarked for two of my grandchildren.

I enoyed colouring the image with Promarkers and then couldn't resist using another piece of the included backing papers so cut with a circle.  I just wonder if my two swap partners will remember my 3, 2, 1 theme when it was 1 piece of plain and 2 pieces of patterned paper.  They said that was so hard ....... !!!

I am entering this in the April Challenge over at Crafts by Carolyn where the theme is "Seeing Red".
