Time to share another couple of cards I have made from Pat's parcel as pat of our 1, 2, 3 swap parcels. I nearly called them challenge parcels because it really is proving qute a challenge each month, not just to find items to put in the parcels I am giving but also making cards to the theme. No-one but myself to blame this time as it was my choice to do 1 plain, 2 patterned, 3 embellishments.
This is a fifty/fifty card. The ribbon, brads and heart came from my stash and the three papers came from the parcel. I love putting pink and green together and found this design in an old cardmaking magazine. I cut the square frame by hand and then wrapped the ribbon round the inside, attached a square of plain pink card behind it and pushed the brads through. I mounted this all on the patterned paper which i mounted in turn on the base cardstock. I then attached the gold heart.
I am entering this for Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: February
And on to another card that I made from the parcel. By this time I had cut and used a lot of the papers and I was turning and turning the remainder papers and then came across this combination.
I have made a card in this style beforeand Pat's papers co-ordinated well. The only bits I added to it were the pink, brown and green striped ribbon round the cream card and the greeting.
They are both lovely, well done
