I love sunflowers; they are so bright and cheery. I thought this image, from my swap parcel from Terri, would be ideal as a Get Well Card - hopefully it would cheer the recipient up. I coloured the image with Promarkers. I also loved lilac and yellow together so teamed the image with the lilac patterned paper. I decided I wanted to layer up the image and so rummged through my snippets box and found some yellow crinkled paper that I had from an assorted paper purchase many years ago. One of the greetings that were in the parcel also teamed very well with the patterned paper. That is all. Just one very quick and simple card.
That is the last of my cards from Terri's parcel. I wonder what September will bring as the theme is men's cards.

Barrow of flowers
This is the third of the cards I made from Terri's swap parcel. It was a lovely piece of patterned paper and so I didn't want to do too much to detract from it. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and searched out a snippet of paper that I cut with my Cuttlebug; one piece with scallops behind the image and another as a simple oval for the greeting.

Lilies
I always see lilies as suitable for Thinking of You cards so when Terri put this image from a greeting card in our swap parcel I knew what I would be doing with it. I teamed it up with the lovely black flower strip and some black paper she had included. I only added the little bit of white card ready for the greeting. Terri had included some creamy white card and so I put it in an embossing folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug.

Remembrance
I met up the other day with Terri and we got down to our second swap parcels. She made from mine and I made from hers to me. Yet again the theme was sympathy, thinking of you or get well.
There was some lovely parchment paper but I never know the best way to stick it on as it always shows. I tried Glossy Accents this time but it still showed so I had to hide the glued areas with some silver peel-offs. I mounted the image on top and then used one of the enclosed greetings.
Seeeeemple!!

Thinking of you
My final card from Pat's parcel.
Tones of purples here but they do not show up too well. I used the patterned paper, ribbon, greeting and image from the swap parcel and added some purple paper from my snippets box so that I could have a toning layer behind the image and so I could also punch some little butterflies.

Just to say
Card no 4 from my swap parcel with Pat
I love this stamp that Pat had put in the parcel and coloured it to tone with the patterned paper I used and the three little buttons. I rummaged around in my snippets box to find some suitable card to use to layer up the image.

Thinking of you
This is another card I made from my swap parcel. I used offcuts from to patterned papers that Pat had included and I edged this with a dark blue stamp pad once I had rounded the corners. I then used some of the plain card on which I put the greeting; both from the parcel.
I rummaged around in my stash and found some snippets of peel off flowers strips. I think I managed to hide the joins fairly well!!! I also added some peel off flowers to the dark blue card and also some little "things" that look as though the are pinning the paper and card.

Sad
Another one from my swap parcel and this little fellow touched me heart, he looks so sad. I rounded the edges of the patterned paper and then used an ink pad to colour the edges so that it stood out against the white base card. I coloured the image with Promarkers and coloured round the edges with a yellow ink pad so that it stood out from the dark green card I cut as a backing layer. The yellow doesn't show as much in the photo as it does in real life. I add the peel off greeting to another piece of the green card and then mounted on a snippet of golden yellow card that toned with the yellow edging of the image.

Sympathy
Let the August swap parcels commence!!! Our theme this month was Sympathy, Get Well Soon and Thinking of You. After my usual gulp when opening a parcel I soon saw several potential cards and had a lovely day with Terri creating some of them.
This is the first of five. A fairly plain one where I used some of the patterned paper that had been in the parcel, added some of the black ribbon and then mounted the greeting on plain black card, used some of the silver peel off corners and mounted that over the ribbon.

Bolero
Another crochet make from me. It has gone in a bag of items for a craft sale for charity later in the year.
It is a lovely first size baby bolero and is in a pale blue shimmery yarn. Possibly the most complicated make I have made yet.

Crochet for Kids Co
I rarely go far without some crochet or knitting in my bag. Travelling by bus, train or car are ideal times to put in some extra stitches on the needles and hooks!!! This is a baby blanket that I have just finished:
I have also just finished this baby jacket:
I have added them to my stash of goodies to take up to Kids Co some time in the Autumn.

Anniversary
This year I have been very lucky and one two prizes over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. The first was the Cuttlebug Concentric Heart die and the second was a Crafts Too Lattice Embossing folder (7x5). I decided to use both together to make this wedding anniversay card for my husband.
I embossed a piece of white card and then used some Stickles over the whoe piece on the intersecting dots. I rummaged in my green snippets envelope and found something I could cut out with the Hearts die. I have quite a hoard of ribbon both small reels of it and bags of shorter lengths and some quite small snippets too. I rummaged around and found the green ribbon that had some bows on it. I used peel-off hearts in the corner and a greeting.
I can't use my prizes with snippets and not enter it in Pixie's Crafty Workshop Snippets Challenge.

A frog he would a wooing go!!
This is the last card I made from my swap parcel from Terri. More yellow/cream and green!!! I mounted the yellow Cuttlebug embossed card on some green card from my snippets box. I took another snippet of a slightly paler green card and cut a few butterflies. I then took the topper from the parcel and mounted in the corner ..... don't you just love his face!!!!
This is another card to enter in Pixies Crafty Workshop Playground Challenge Week 83. There is an awful lot of excitement going on in the playground; oh, hang on, whistle has blown, playtime has ended!!

Lemon and Mint
I love Lemon and Mint and together and so I knew, as soon as I saw my selection from Terri, that I would put these pieces together. I pondered whether to cut the green embossed paper down so there was a border all round it or whether to cut the same width as the card and then, because the pape was not tall enough, make a join that I could cover with some ribbon. I looked at the little emon embellishments and decided against the ribbon.
