When my first grand daughter was born I decided to give her a tree decoration for every year of her life up until she was 18 because I then reckoned she would have a goodly number to start off her own tree when she had one.
I now have a new grand daughter and have bought her a "Baby's first Christmas", just like the first grandchild. From next year I shall continue what has now come a tradition and will need two decorations each year.
Last year I cross-stitched a little tree decoration and this year decided to do another one.
I have entered this in the following challenges:
Top Tip Tuesday: A gift
Just Some Lines: Hand Made Gift
2 Sisters Challenge: Christmas
By the Cute and Girly: Let it Snow
Craft Your Days Away: Snowmen
Cupcake Craftroom: Christmas Traditions
Dream Valley Challenges: Christmas
Lollipop Crafts: Happy Holidays
Simon Says Stamp and Show: Projects with Depth
Tuesday throwdown: For Someone Special
Aw.....he's lovely, Liz. I have a cross stitch bell which my friend made for me years ago. that still goes on the tree too.

I've done the same since my grandsons were born, too, except I can't stitch & wouldn't be able to make anything quite so beautiful. I'm sure your girls will love them & look forward to getting a new tree decoration every year :o)
