Cuckfield

Cuckfield is a lovely village not far from where I live.  The Parish Church of Holy Trinity is set in a beautiful churchyard with views through to the South Downs.

I started a website about Cuckfield, mainly for those people interested in genealogy and social history and it is certainly a labour of love.  Please click the link to visit the Cuckfield Compendium

These are views of the Church, some of the cottages in the churchyard and views across to the South Downs on a somewhat atmospheric day.

  1. Your church is one of the prettiest I've seen & the view in the bottom photo is just as lovely in the Autumn as it is in the summer. I remember going around the corner of the church & seeing the South Downs just spread before me, bathed in sunlight. It was so beautiful.

  2. Brings back memories of when Mum and I visited in 2002 and met you and Peter for the first time. Somehow it doesn't seem almost ten years ago. As Pat mentioned, the church and surrounds are very attractive -- especially as this is where many of my Scrace rellies would have worshiped.
